根據過去5年（2013至2017年）的破產資料顯示，車貸是拖垮大馬人破產的主要禍首，占總破產人數的26.4%。可見得車貸確實將會帶來很大的負擔。很多年輕人一開始就買了進口車後，結果發現自己月薪一大部分的錢都用在還汽車貸款上，導致到了30歲仍然存不到什麼錢。
